Al Lindner has been pretty well my main Fishing Hero for over three decades now and I'm still totally amazed at what this man has done, in the World of Fishing! I bought this sweet little Bassin' Book Bassin' with Al...

a number of years ago and it's helped me uncover many of the mysteries of how to catch Bass, many times. :-) I recommend this little pocketbook to any serious Bass Fisherman, anywhere! It has helped a lot of people catch a lot of Bass. :-)

I remember when Al first told us all about "back-trolling" and how you gained boat and lure control, using it, he opened up a few doors and channels in my mind about this whole Fishing thing. :-) The neat little plug in these pictures is the first crank-bait/plug, that I ever worked on to help make it catch more fish for me. It's an old Heddon Prowler, a floater diver lure which you can't even buy anymore, that I've re-hooked, with a single, treble hook on the belly hanger. No hook on the tail of this lure either. That makes it swim with it's butt ridin' up a little higher, and it's nose diving a little deeper. It makes it wiggle a little faster and wider too, with no weight on the tail section. Also it's WAY less dangerous when you're lippin' bass on this rig than it is with a normal crank-bait all decked out in treble city. :-)

Inversion Therapy for Back Pain...

Anybody out there with a sore back?

Well, I for one, have had my share of back problems over the years. I KNOW just how much pain that can consist of and how it affects everything. How you walk, how you stand, sit or lay down, for that matter. Well, fellow sore back suffers, This idea looks like just what I have been lookin' for all these years!

I've experimented on my own body/back, with a few different things to ease my back pain and I've found that hanging for a few seconds from my doorway, seems to be the closest I've come so far, to this cool system. This Teeter unit looks a whole lot easier.
Anyway, check it out. Seems like a lot of happy people think it works pretty good on them. ;-)

Well Rapped, or what, eh? :-)

Truth be known, if I had to pick only one crankbait (plug) out of my boxes, to fish with all day, it would have to be This particularily sweet little puppy, hands down! No guff here friends. I know this lure, intimitely and it's totally hand-tweaked for maximum efficiency, as you can well see in this picture. :-) Yes sir, Rapala's Shad Rap is my money bait, if I just have to catch a few fish, of any species, that eat minnows!

These shades are also Top Notch outdoors equipment that are a large part of my EDC stuff. That's Every Day Carry, for those folks not familiar with the abbreviation. Surprisingly perhaps to some, these well fitted and drilled hole frames, polaroid lenses and rubber nose pieces , add up to less cash than a spool of good line. I've had these Tortoise shell jobbies for three years now and still Love'em! :-)

Here's a pair of real cuties that have certainly earned their keep in this man's tiny tackle boxes. The boy on the right is the smallest Big-O made, to the best of my knowledge. IF it is still being made, even?

If You fish Large Mouth Bass, you'll benefit from reading my ol' friend's well written piece on using the Senko style plastic baits, in this case a Wave, Tiki-stick! I, like Pete, love to tinker with and tweak lures to make them work better under varying conditions. I own very few "stock" lures anymore. :-)

P.S. I saw a LM in the 3 pound plus range along the shoreline @ my secret Ottawa fishin' hole yesterday. Hmmm, I have to wonder how long she'll be safe around there. There are some large 'Lunge, known to frequent these same waters. Also it's pretty easy to see her shallow nest now from the newly raped and pillaged shoreline down there now that it looks like a freakin' lawn. ALL of the previous shrubbery, is GONE! Thank you very much, NCC. NOT! :-(

Sketches...

Some simple sketches...

Did I ever mention that I like to sketch, for lack of a better word, the odd time? Well, I do. I don't know just how many old notepads I have laying around here but each and every one of them has at least a few sketches in it. Nothing very fancy or even particularly good, mind you, but just simply a few ideas that I've put to pen, none the less. Most of them involve terminal tackle but sometimes other stuff is drawn out on impulse or to show someone an idea or how something would work or whatever.

So anywho, here's a peek at my sketchin' style, or lack there of, depending on Your point of view, of course... :-)
