Geezer Wisdom...

Some rock solid Geezer Wisdom...

I f You like Your life stress-free, healthy and happy, then here's a list of wise statements from an old Geezer over at Cedar Cove Farm that if put into practice in Your life, will ensure all of the above and more. :-)

Man, those old folks were smart, even without the fancy school education like most peeps have these days. Back in the day, you made up in work experience, and life experiences, what you lacked in book learnin'...

I think you'll like what the old Geezer is trying to get across...

Cheers,

Saturday Fishing shows...

Fishin' Stuff...

This morning I watched my favorite Fishing Show, Bob Izumi's Real Fishing. His laid back ways, quick wit, friendly, happy manner and general humbleness shows through in all of his stuff. One day before I die, I wanna fish with Bob Izumi. He was catchin' Brookies on a little silver Panther Martin, the one with the orange feathered treble, in a little overgrown stream that looked "jungle-like" according to our host's comment to that effect. :-) Nice close-ups too, of the beautiful Brook Trout, that looked like Natives to this ol' trapper. Yup, Bob was fishing my favorite way and for my favorite fish this morning, using my favorite Speckled Trout lure for well over 30 years. Awesome!

Then my man Bob, fitted out in a beautiful Columbia outdoor marvel of a coat, arranged a special "Ling" ding episode, for us this a.m. Bob had met this young fella in North Bay, on a previous trip up North. He was a very Cool young lad that was just beaming, like Bob does and I could just feel his LOVE for Fishing, in whatever shaped fish it appeared in. A real respect for our wildlife, was what he was showin' me anyway.

That, was SO nice to see, coming from our youth these days. I hope Bob has more plans to include this likable fishin' dude on his future shows! He even said that he would rather eat Ling from his waters than the Walleyes that swim there. Man, they must be some good eatin'! Then again, Bob who usually likes food, made No mention throughout the show of whippin' up a batch of Ling-dings. Curious! :-)

It'll be nice when Spring gets here and there won't be any time for watching fishing shows anymore. I'll be out DOING some real fishing of my own and poking around for fresh wild edibles from the fields and forests too. I've got plenty of spots to entertain myself in the Ottawa area and I'm always on the look-out for others to hang with me out there. So, don't be shy! I'm quite accessible now, through the magic of our modern day Email! :-) Or, and, You could even leave a comment in here if ya wanna. :-)

Hang loose...

Rat-L-Trap lures, By Bill Lewis

Trap a Bass...

One of my favorite lures for all around fishing purposes, are these older rattle-baits that you see here in two different models. The boy on the top is a "Floater" model and the guy below is a, standard sinking model. Use the sinker Or use the floater. They both catch fish consistently! Bill Lewis done Good, when he created this impressive artificial lure! :-)

Rattle Trap Lures...

These Rat-L-Trap cranks are very Hot lures to toss anywhere, north or south, east or west, especially if you Don't do a lot of fishing very often and You want in on some action... :-)

Here's a good informative write up from my friend Russ Bassdozer, on these awesome lures that You can use to catch more fish too...Rattlin'

...Oh, and one more fine confirmation for You, if You don't use these killer lures much yet...

A BassKicker Favorite too...

Get those fish rattled!
